Chosen for this week’s Senior Spotlight is Madelyn Barrow. Maddie describes herself as kind, social, and productive. She has been at Brooklyn High School for four years and works as a manager at Firehouse Subs. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and driving around with her friends. She is also involved in soccer, which is something that she will truly miss after graduation. Speaking of post-graduation, Maddie plans to attend college and pursue a career in Early Childhood Education.
Q: What is one thing you’re going to miss about high school?
A: “Playing soccer.”
Q: What is one thing you definitely won’t miss about high school?
A: “Waking up early.”
Q: What is something you wish you had done differently in high school?
A: “Put more effort into my classes.”
Q: What is a random fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
A: “I was born in the state of Washington.”
Q: If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go?
A: “Europe, specifically Ireland or Germany because I’ve always wanted to go to these countries.”
Q: What is your favorite school event or tradition?
A: “Color Wars.”
Q: If you could switch lives with any teacher for a day, who would it be?
A: “Ms. Spuzzillo. She always tells stories about her weekends or trips, and I want to do some of the stuff that she does, especially traveling.”
Q: Out of your entire school career, what teacher has been your biggest inspiration and/or influence?
A: “Ms. Spuzzillo because she is always there for me and willing to help when I need it most.”
