Welcome to Volume 2 of the 2026-2027 news.
This article will be focused on Homecoming and all of the festivities that make up this annual tradition.
This year’s Homecoming theme is Rio at Sunset. It was picked over the Summer, so there is no doubt that this will be an exciting evening on Saturday, September 26. For the dance itself, food and refreshments will be available for purchase, along with a DJ and a photobooth.
Speaking of Homecoming, 10 of Brooklyn High School’s very own seniors are on the ballot for this year’s king and queen crowns. As always, it’s going to be a tight race between the five girls and the five boys (see below). This Friday, the candidates will have the chance to sway the underclassmen vote during the Get-to-Know-the-Candidates assembly. After school-wide voting, each king and queen candidate will then compete amongst one another in a series of games during the pep rally, scheduled for the afternoon of September 25.

Regarding tickets, students must have all of their Final Forms completed before purchasing a ticket. Each ticket is $25 and will be available during lunch.
Also, any student who would like to invite someone who is not from Brooklyn High School must get a guest pass from either the front office or from Mrs. Bader. Guest passes have to be filled out by the guest’s principal and turned in before a ticket can be purchased. These are due this week on Thursday.

- September 21-25: Safety Week
- September 24: Hall of Fame Ceremony
- September 25: Senior Luncheon
- September 25: Homecoming Pep Rally
- September 25: Homecoming Varsity Football vs. Beachwood
- September 26: Homecoming Dance
