Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to the underclassmen?
A: “That life is going to hurt you eventually, whether that is friendships, relationships, sports, etc. Time is the key thing that guides you along, no matter what has happened.”
Q: What is something you’re proud of for overcoming?
A: “All the hardships and challenges that I faced in high school. After every one, I picked myself back up and brought myself to where I am now.”
Q: If you could have any teacher teach a completely different subject, who would it be and what would she teach?
A: “Mrs. Sullivan and she would teach History. I think her personality needs a history class.”
Q: What class did you enjoy more than you expected?
A: “I think the class that I enjoyed the most was Algebra II with Mr. Hanlon because it is where I had the funniest memories with my friends, laughing the whole time and hardly getting our work done.”
Q: What is a random fact about yourself that most people don’t know?
A: “That I actually like to dance, whether that is on the field with my teammates or at parties.”
Q: If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would you?
A: “Italy because I love the scenery there. It’s all so beautiful and peaceful, and I would just love it if I could live there.”
Q: What is one moment from high school that you know you’ll never forget?
A: “Knowing everything that has happened in high school, I gained so many incredible memories with people I cherish so deeply.”
Q: Out of your entire school career, what teacher has been your biggest inspiration and/or influence?
A: “Mr. Kaspar because he has truly been by my side throughout high school whenever anything happened to me and comforted me when I needed it. He is someone to talk to and give me advice. I consider him my Ms. Honey from Matilda. Besides that, he is an awesome artist, and his work is amazing. Each time I do an art piece, I look at him for advice and inspiration for it.”
Thank you for your participation in this week’s Senior Spotlight, Selena. Good luck with college, pursuing a major in Biomedical Science, and all the exciting opportunities that await you after graduation.
