Today, we wrap-up the tributes to our amazing senior journalists with a first-year writer and a four-year veteran.

Senior Journalist #7: Ankita Monger

Q: What is your greatest memory from your time here at Brooklyn High School?

A: “My greatest memory would have to be meeting the right people and how they led me to become a better version of myself.”

Q: How do you want to be remembered when you leave high school for the final time?

A: “I want to be remembered as somebody who was optimistic and open-minded.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

A: “My plan after graduation is to attend Cosmetology/Nail school, get my certificate and licence, and then start my career in this field.”

As Ankita graduates and begins her journey in the Cosmetology field, she is excited to turn her passion into a career where she can help others feel confident and beautiful. High school taught her the importance of hard work, determination, and believing in herself, lessons that she will carry with her. She is thankful for everyone who supported and encouraged her along the way. While this chapter is ending, a new and exciting future is just beginning. Congratulations, Ankita!

Senior Journalist #8: Jacob “Wild Fire” Collins

Q: What is your greatest memory from your time here at Brooklyn High School?

A: “All of the friendships I have made and playing baseball.”

Q: How do you want to be remembered when you leave high school for the final time?

A: “As Brooklyn High School’s greatest journalist of all time.”

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

A: “I will attend The University of Akron for a degree in Communication and Media Studies.”

Jacob has been a journalist since his freshman year, leading to his dream of becoming a Sports Broadcaster. He uses his talents and daily leads the entire Journalism class. It is sad to say goodbye to the Journalism King, but we wish him well as a Zip. Congratulations, Jacob!

Congratulations to both Ankita and Jacob. Thank you for being key contributors to Brooklyn High School’s student-led, online newspaper. Best of luck in all of your future endeavors.

Everyone here at The Return of the Eye wishes all eight of these senior journalists the very best as they begin their next chapter of life. We are forever grateful for your hard work and dedication to our newspaper and to BHS as a whole. You will all be dearly missed.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, Brooklyn.
