The first quarter is finally over and done with, marking the official end of Summer and the start of another infamous quarter of Ohio Winter.
Regarding the news, “Hello Week” came to a close, and Key Club hopes that even with this cool weather that everyone feels a little warmer on the inside. If anyone is interested in taking part in Key Club (great way to collect community service hours), please email senior Kendall Lewis, Secretary of Key Club, at klewis1@bcshurricanes.org.
Now, let’s focus on what Student Council has to offer for Halloween week. Hint: See the Spirit Week flyer below.
Very spooky, indeed. We encourage everyone to participate. Also, please make sure to give Principal Capacetti a big Happy Birthday shoutout, today!
If anyone is interested in joining Student Council and being a core part of all the fun, please visit Mrs. Bader during W.I.N. Block (Room 179) or email her at jacinta.bader@bcshurricanes.org.
Today is the day for the PSAT, so good luck to all. Also today, Picture Retakes will occur during W.I.N. Block.
Finally, Trick-or-Treating this year is on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to wear costumes to school on Friday, as long as they abide by the guidelines as seen in the above Spirit Week flyer. As for Trick-or-Treating, we hope all of you ghosts and ghouls end up with a lot of candy. After those two hours, pull up to Raising Canes for some chicken tenders, toast, and fries (shameless plug from an employee who doubles as a journalist).
On Halloween, please remember to stay safe and have fun!
Here is the calendar for the final week of October:
- October 27: PSAT (No School for Seniors)
- October 27: Picture Retake Day
- October 28: Hanna Theater Field Trip
- October 29: Europe Meeting
- October 31: Halloween 👻
Have a spooky week, fellow Hurricanes.
