Chosen for this week’s Senior Spotlight is Ashlee Rich. Ashlee is funny, caring, and organized. Outside of school, she works at Harry’s Steakhouse in Independence. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. A fun fact about Ashlee is that she grew up in Riverside, California, until she was eight-years-old.
Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: “My favorite subject is Cosmetology at Polaris. Cos is my passion. I have always wanted to do hair and nails, so it’s such a blessing that I got this opportunity during high school instead of having to pay (for training) outside of high school.”
Q: How did you prepare for your senior year?
A: “I kept everything organized, wrote everything down, and didn’t procrastinate.”
Q: What will you miss most about high school?
A: “The Polaris deli.”
Q: How do you study for exams?
A: “I take notes, use flashcards, and look over Quizlet.”
Q: Who are you most grateful for?
A: “I am most grateful for my mom because she taught me everything I need to know and made me the person I am today.”
Q: Would you rather eat out or have a home-cooked meal?
A: “Home-cooked meal because my mom cooks really well.”
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “The Hangover 1, 2, and 3. Each time I watch them, they get better and better.”
Q: Out of your entire school career, what teacher has been your biggest inspiration and/or influence?
A: “Mrs. Sullivan because I feel like she treats everyone with respect and doesn’t single anyone out. She also gives good advice when needed.”
Thank you for your participation in this week’s Senior Spotlight, Ashlee. We hope you have a great rest of your senior year, and good luck with your Cosmetology career.
