Welcome back, Brooklyn. We trust that you enjoyed your Spring break and had the opportunity to relax, recharge the batteries, and sprinkle in a little fun, too.

For the start of this week, we would like to commemorate one of the most exciting weekends in Cleveland history. With the Women’s Final Four, the groundbreaking views of the Solar Eclipse, and the Guardians Home Opener, it is safe to say that Cleveland truly rocked.

First off, Cleveland hosted the much anticipated NCAA Women’s Final Four, welcoming in South Carolina, Iowa, Connecticut, and North Carolina State. Many notable players came to town including Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and Kamillia Cardoso. After advancing to the championship, streets were packed with fans and celebrities to watch the final matchup between Iowa and South Carolina. The game was nothing short of incredible, and the Gamecocks were able to get past Clark and the Hawkeyes to complete their undefeated season.

Next, a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon, yesterday, the city of Cleveland lied within the path of totality for the Solar Eclipse, allowing four minutes of viewing as the moon directly crossed over the sun, beginning around 3:13 in the afternoon. Over 400,000 people from outside of Ohio flew into Cleveland to watch this amazing event. Simply, all eyes were on Cleveland and in the sky.

There were many sites holding historic celebrations including the Natural History Museum, NASA Glenn Research Center, Great Lakes Science Center, Rocket Mortgage Field House, and Progressive Field.

What an amazing experience!

The Solar Eclipse was not the only exciting event that happened yesterday in Cleveland. Progressive Field was sold out for the Guardians Home Opener. Our hometown baseball team came out victorious with a win against the Chicago White Sox, 4-0. The win improved the team’s record to 8-2, the best record in Major League Baseball.

In a span of four days, Cleveland became the epicenter of events, and it is awesome that we were all, in some capacity, a part of it.

Well done, Cleveland!
