Last Thursday (April 27), the Spring inductions took place for National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National Chinese Honor Society, and Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica.

This ceremony was held in the auditorium, and it turned out to be a successful event with friends and families in attendance to honor all of the inductees.

Aside from the induction ceremony of new members, the advisors introduced the current members of these societies as well.

NHS: Mrs. Bir

NAHS: Mr. Kasper

NCHS: Mrs. Huang

SHH: Mrs. Holko

Below is a list of all the inductees:

Congratulations to all of the previous as well as new members. Hard work truly does pay off, and you should all be proud of yourselves.

Next, the Canes of the Week for the week of April 24 were seniors Lexi Fecko and Adam Geballa.

Lexi Fecko: Track

During the Hurricanes tri-meet at Cuyahoga Heights on April 20, Lexi won the long jump and got a new personal record with a jump of 14’ 5”. She also placed second in the 400-meter dash and finished the race with a run of 1:11.

To end the tri-meet, Lexi’s 4×200 team set a season-best time of 2:03. Keep up the good work and make the most of your final track season.

Adam Geballa: Baseball

Adam brought the team to a victory by pitching in the game against Parma. He pitched all seven innings and only gave up two earned runs. He also struck out nine batters and only walked three. Adam also recorded a hit and two stolen bases. Nice work, Adam!
