Teacher Appreciation Week: Mr. Karl

Mr. Karl teaches sixth grade math, but previously, he taught sixth grade science at Brooklyn Intermediate School. Also, this is his sixth year of teaching and has been coaching the Brooklyn boys varsity basketball team for three years. Not only that, Karl also used to race for six years and earned five straight championships in five straight years. In his life now, he got engaged in 2019, has a two-month-old child, named Lydia, and has three step-daughters.

I chose Mr. Karl because when I had him as a teacher, he would make coming to school fun. He would use dojo bucks to have the students win prizes. Not only is Karl a great teacher, he is an excellent step-dad, too. As a father figure, he gives up so much of his time for me and puts me before himself. I value his opinion, both with school and everyday life.

Thank you for being a great science teacher, making school fun for students, wanting to see me succeed, and for being someone I can look up to and count on. I am extremely lucky and blessed to call you Dad!
